While the restraunt itself is showing signs of age and could use a renovation, the food is decentand the prices are fair. Pizza is pretty good and their Buffalo chips (Breaded chicken breast peices served like buffalo wings) is a large portion for a reasonable price.

Service was terrible. No one even came to our table after 15 minutes. Awful awful awful.

Have been coming here for several years, just went recently had to wait a while before anybody took our drink order and waitress thought she could remember our food order we gave her instead of writing it down and messed that up. The bread tasted stale, homemade chips were soggy. The quality food has gone down and the staff need more training in waiting on tables and not chatting it up with other staff, when there are customers waiting to put drink and food order in.

Great local place. Food is always great. One of the only local place where the food and people are all good!

Food was good but our service could have used some improvement. It appeared our server was closing out her shift and she just disappeared. Another server brought us our check and we left with out so much as a goodbye.

Slick Mick's started out being a Spot On participant but later decided to back out. For the past three months they have made excuses saying that their check in unit was broken and they were waiting for Spot On to repair or replace it. I was becoming frustrated by losing so many points from my frequent visits to Slick Mick's. Finally, I called Spot On to see if there was any way I could get credit for my visits. Turns out that Slick Mick's has been lying to their customers because they cancelled their account with Spot On. To make matters worse, Slick Mick's wouldn't even honor the points I had accumulated with a free appetizer! I mean, really, would it have hurt them that much to keep a satisfied customer?

Slick Micks started off as a little sandwich shop by the Shalimar Bridge years ago..now days it has moved to a location closer to downtown Fort Walton Beach and has morphed into a sandwich shop/restaurant/sports bar...it's a sports bar, because it's got the flat screens everywhere to watch whatever game is on and has the standard 20 BMC Beers on Tap that all sports bars do...it's a restaurant, because it serves up the standard sports bar fare of burgers..wings...and frozen fried appetizers that all sports bars do..the one appetizer at Slick Micks that sticks out is their chili cheese fries which they make correctly with shoestring fries...chili that sticks to the fries and real shredded cheese..I always order those when I go...where Slick Micks really shines is where it all started..their sandwiches...some of the best in Fort Walton with The Pastrami..The Reuben..The Italian Hoagie and the not on the menu anymore for some reason, but they will still make it for you French Dip being particular standouts...if your in the mood for a good Deli Type Sandwich in Fort Walton, Slick Micks is still your best bet..I've heard their pizzas are very good as well, but I have not had one yet...the place does get pretty rowdy and crowded at times(especially during football season) so I have to say service here can be pretty hit or miss...and speaking of football this is the Fort Walton Beach Pittsburgh Steeler Bar...is there any town in the world that does not have a Pittsburgh Steeler Bar?...seriously if I ever get to Antarctica I can almost bet the first bar I go in will be The Antarctica Pittsburgh Steeler Bar!!...Slick Micks is really about a 3.5 Star Establishment, but since Yelp does not allow that I normally would round down to in this case a 3 Star, but in Slick Micks Case I will round up to 4 Stars since they will give you 50 Percent of Any Appetizer if you use the Yelp Check-In Feature...see it pays to give Yelpers Goodies!!..definitely worth a stop if your in the mood for a casual dining spot and a few beers while watching the game

Slick Mick's is a pretty good spot for lunch in Fort Walton Beach. They've got Philly cheesesteaks, pizzas, salads, and a lot of stuff in between. They only get 3 stars from me because there are virtually no lighter options on their menu, other than a Grilled Chicken Salad. I stopped in with my family today and, when I checked in on my Yelp app, we were awarded 50% off any appetizer. (Woo hoo!) I went with the Spinach Artichoke Dip. It came out a few minutes later looking yummy and steamy, but I noticed that the pita chips were deep-fried. Geez. Is that necessary? It was like eating melted cheese on top of a funnel cake. Tasty, but a little rich for my blood. Overall, this is the pattern at Slick Mick's. The flavors and preparations are on point, but their food can only be described as a "gut bomb." If you don't mind that, then this place is a go! I will say that I've had their pizza in the past and really enjoyed it, and my Loaded Baked Potato Soup today was also tasty. The service is friendly and efficient for the most part, and the atmosphere is pretty cool with old pictures of gangsters adorning the walls. It's nothing to fancy , but nothing too shabby either -- kind of like Fort Walton itself :)

My husband brought me here after a gun show since we were staaarving. We both had burgers and I had a Guinness. Points for them having Guinness on draft! My burger was dry and the bun was somewhat stale The fries weren't salty enough and just over all lacked flavor. Price wise this place is up to par with most pub food but just wasn't that impressive. It wasn't terrible but I won't be going back.

50% off our appetizer [woohoo], which was the spinach and artichoke dip. The pita chips were fried, but I actually liked them that way. My boyfriend and I got some sandwiches for lunch and they were basic and good. No complaints about our waitress. She was very helpful and our drinks never went empty.

Neopoliton cheese pizza I had was dry and felt like it had been sitting there for about 20 minutes before I picked it up. Wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

We are in town for a few days and decided to do Slicks for lunch. I got the Philly cheesesteak, which the menu said was there speciality. I got it with everything on it. Amazing. Seriously. So good. I got pizza for the kids, and that was great as well. I'm giving Slicks 5 stars. Another family member said they would have giving their sandwich 4 stars. But seriously.... Philly Cheesesteak all the way.

Solid. This place has everything, and it's all good. No one thing is the best in the world, but for a somewhere you can get a great pizza, or a great Reuben, or a great Stromboli, or great tuna dip, etc etc...plus a pitcher of beer - you can't beat it.

    (4)
  • Mai J.

This place is filthy! The staff is rude and the food is greasy!!! I haven't been there for a while after we got a very rude and obnoxious waiters! Never Ever coming back!

    (1)
  • Art M.

First time coming here and I ordered their Italian sausage sandwich. It was ok. Nothing fancy, but I did like their homemade chips. It crunchy and had the potato skin fried with it. I'd come here again, and maybe try their other sandwiches or pizzas. The best part of my experience here is the service. The waitress was very attentive and courteous.

    (3)
  • Amy Z.

Food here was great, but service was not, hence the 3 stars. We went to grab some pastrami sandwiches at lunch time, but by the time they came out, we had to get them to go since our lunch hour was almost up. The place wasn't busy at all. The sandwich was outstanding, but I'd probably order it for pickup next time.

    (3)
  • Cara R.

Strombolis are the bomb but damn they're slow. I called in a togo order and they told me it would be 20 minutes. I arrived about 40 minutes after I called and they were still not done. I had to sit there and wait yet another 20 minutes for them to cook 2 strombolis. Took them over an hour total. And they were not THAT busy. Not cool Slick Micks.

  • Chondalis M.

Horrible service!!! Walked out the second time we visited as we were seated & after 10 minutes a waitress never acknowledged us. the 1st time we came the waitress barely knew the menu & had to tables but was slow we had to get our own refills. To make matters worse we went today (2nd day of march madness) & they were playing X games on every tv! Will never go again

3.5 We stopped off here for a quick dinner. This place has thrived for a while in an otherwise unsuccessful strip mall type complex. 5 or 6 years, to the best of my knowledge. The interior is rather drab, but the food was pretty good. I definitely recommend their jalapeno poppers. They craft a wonton shell into a boat and fill it with cheese and jalapenos, then deep fry. Very good. We ordered the philly cheese steak and philly chicken subs. Both very good. Fresh tasting. No reason to pass this place up if you are looking for a quick sandwich or appetizers. Obviously a local favorite.

While vacationing in Fort Walton Beach we stopped here to eat lunch. The kids ordered grill cheese sandwiches they couldn't eat. One of the sandwiches the bread was burnt. The cheese was yucky ( as told by the kids). Pizza and hamburgers were just so so. Service was slow for the few patrons there.

    (2)
  • Kurt N.

The food here is decent, albeit a little on the heavy and greasey side. I like their baked subs only because I can't find another place around here that makes them. Their burgers and subs are decent but I feel like a diet rich in Slick Mick's will lead to an untimely death. It's a decent place during happy hour, so I've heard. There's nothing special about the place and I don't plan on coming back unless someone drags me or covers the bill.

  • Anon P.

The buffalo chicken nuggets are fantastic. The sandwiches are good. The pizza is pretty lame. I was excited about the homemade chips but they were boring and I'd rather have homemade fries.. or sweet potato fries. Anyway, I'll be going back for the chicken!

    (4)
  • Paul B.

Absolutely love this place. Buffalo chicken Philly is tremendous and the onion rings are delicious. Wait staff is good but the food takes forever to come out . Pizzas are great too. Mon and we'd are specials night. Great atmosphere, especially if you are a steelers fan.

    (5)
  • Angi R.

Well, I was really excited to see that they have home-made potato chips and once I saw meatball subs on the menu, I know just what I was going to order. So...the food came out and I had a chicken parm sandwich in front of me. I hate wasting food but I really wanted meatballs so I sent it back. The waitress handled it gracefully and other than that the sevice was pretty good. The food was good quality and good portions. Not a bad place to go for lunch.

    (3)
  • Jessica L.

My brother took me here today for lunch and it was yummy. I had a club sandwhich with fries and tried his south philly cheese. Both were delicious. The size of the sandwhich was larger than I expected, especially for the price. Not to mention their sweet tea, yummy! I strongly recommend going there for a bite to eat.

My boss chose this restaurant for lunch a few days ago, and I was not impressed. I can't say anything for the interior of the place, nor the service, as he picked up a takeout order, but the food was ok. It wasn't great. I had a chef salad with ham, turkey (and though the menu described it as including bacon) and what probably amounted to less than 1/4 of one piece of bacon. Maybe that's a one time experience, but it could also be standard procedure. Overall, not an awful place, but there are better places in the area to visit.

This restaurant is in need of a makeover, but perhaps that is the vibe the owner was going for. Who knows. However, the one thing I have ever eaten here was out-of-this world great. If you go try the BLT. It was the best BLT I have ever eaten, and the thing that made it was definitely that ultra thick-cut bacon. Just thinking about it I get hungry!

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
